August 15th 2014 - Friday - Virtue - It may feel like the path of opening you are on is a little like opening Pandora's Box:

And in a way we really have.  When you get serious about growing up, digging into spirituality and becoming a more authentic person... it's like opening a can of worms. Things can get crazy, and fast.  Makes you want to slam that lid shut real quick!

But today Pandora comes with the Virtue card which tells you this: You are on the right path. You are doing the right thing, and should have confidence.  Look to Pandora:

What does she teach us? To fearlessly seek hidden knowledge, to go after things that everyone else keeps quiet about. Open to the unknown, to the surprise of true being. She is fearless in her curiosity, and brings her feminine mystery and chaos to the mix. When the men were sitting around thinking, should we open the box, should we.... Pandora just went ahead and opened it! 

And don't miss the symbolism. We all came out of woman, that wild mysterious feminine force of creation. (Remember Kali from yesterday?). The time of the feminine is here. It's time to revere her, and open to her, and find her.

Digging into the muck of your soul can surely be hard work, scary work, and it can be ugly work.  A lot of crazy things can up when you really look.  But Peter assures us:  "...however high the price of knowledge it ends up costing less than ignorance."

August 14th, 2014 - Thursday - Ace of Wands - Grab your magic wand today... and cast a spell. What do you want? You have the energy to go, to move, to shimmy, to shake... but again... what do you want?

The answer comes from our dream visitor, who happens to be Kali again (she visited us yesterday!).

Yesterday she came to us to cut off our head, sending a message loud and clear.... but today she serves another purpose. She is portrayed in our current culture with many different guises, but the one that we need today is the guise of Mother, love, fertility, time and death.

What do you want to give birth to today? What is your passion? This powerful feminine force will tell you what your passion is, where to point your wand, and what to make happen. She is the dark mother, meaning she represents "both a loving mother and a harsh murderous mother to us by turns" as Peter J Carroll suggests.

Both sides are powerful forces that can propel you toward what you want to create. Ask Mother Kali today, in whatever way you can creatively imagine. (But don't deny her darkness.  Don't you dare!) In death... life is possible. Mother Death may seem like a contradiction... but she points the way to your true passion... just ask her...

August 13th, 2014 - Wednesday - Ace of Swords - There is resistance inside you today... resistance to a change in your world.  You've been courageously rolling through change lately and need to be congratulated... but today you are putting your heels down and digging in.  And the message? Resistance is futile.  The universe is moving in your direction... and change is coming.  Best let go and accept it.

August 12th, 2014 - Tuesday - The Moon - So yesterday we received Completion and a dream of the moon goddess... and we rested and relaxed.  Today we got the Moon again!  She is ever present in our thoughts and feelings. She watches over us in the dark, always there, but not always visible.

Our dream guide this Tuesday is Anubis. The Egyptian Lord of the Dead, he is a friend who can be tuned into in order to live a more noble and authentic life. As the moon embraces us in her sensuous grasp, Anubis reminds us to feel into our death at this  moment, and let our future death be a springboard forward into a moment well lived.  In the midst of the feminine swirl of life, find the balance between nothingness and everything. 

You are here.  You are alive.  The Moon Whispers:  Do not waste this day.

August 11th, 2014 - Monday-  Completion - Whew... That was a big weekend... Full Super Moon charged energy with more than a touch of lunacy as we embraced our opposites... Mars and Venus, War and Love.  The moon has seen your work, honored your intention and blessed you. She is on your side.

Rest today. Relax.  Assimilate your opposite natures with a lunar blessing.  It's not more complicated than that. You've earned it. Salute!

August 10th, 2014 ~ Sunday ~ Princess of Wands ~

Whew..... there is a cool crackle in the air today. Some vital energy is on the move and it is strumming along our sacral, solar plexus, and heart chakras.  It feels good. It feels powerful and expansive.  It awakens our multi-selves that do not necessarily get to come out and play during the week. Now what do we do with it?

Why engage it, of course. Meet this energy breath for breath, eye to eye, palm to palm, soul to soul as it pulses through your core. Turn off the t.v., turn down the chatter.Turn up the music, breathe into your belly, break out the paints, laugh, cry, dance, grab your partner and ravish them. Fire and heart today......... oh yes............. There is no one that keeps you from your essential self but you.

Today, the archetypal assistance is coming from none other than the Virgin Mary, Mother of God. Who else is better suited to remind us about fire and heart. Who better to remind us that we are a vast multitude of complexities, all of which need moments to be expressed or they become knotted or even rot.

No other woman in history has been the subject of as much art, poetry, and the written and spoken word more than Mary, herself. And yet, she remains such an enigma. One thing is for certain, though, this woman was not a simple, one-dimensional creature.

She was mother, wife, protectress, oracle, dragon slayer, benevolent love, vicious sorrow,  queen. She is a mystery and a magnet.

Dive beneath the surface and the facade today and let vital energy move. You will find that it nourishes and rejuvenates you so that you can move into the next week with the fire and heart to press into the next challenge, the next obstacle, the next opportunity, the next dream.

Take a cue from Mother Mary and live so fully that your life becomes art.

The dance between light and dark, pain and pleasure, grief and joy, lethargy and exhilaration has landed us in new and expansive territory. By engaging all facets of  the multi-self and multi-universe we can achieve a width and depth that was previously unavailable to us. With this newly tapped expansiveness we can now begin to manifest dreams and desires that were previously banished to the aether by fears and apathy.

Any dream worth dreaming also comes with fear. Fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear of loss. Fear of change. Unbind your dreams today and provide them the rich soil to unfold and grow. You have been through shadow lately. And if anything, shadow reminds us we are stronger than we thought, and life is shorter than we would like. Your dream or desire will not last forever so you might as well let it have its moment in the sun.

The Archangel of Earth is the perfect ally as we summon forth dream wisps and muster the energy to manifest them in tangible form. Earth elementals remind us that we are a collection of molecules assembled in such a way that we can evoke magic in life. Look around you. Look at nature. The Earth has summoned forth some of the most bizarre, beautiful, astounding, breathtaking forms imaginable (or unimaginable). The Earth is our greatest example that anything is possible and anything can be manifest once it is free from the restriction of fear and apathy.
