October 7th, 2010 - Thursday - Debauch

The Debauch card! Today I have fallen further into addiction and obsessive sexual patterns. Be careful not to dig so deep of a hole that I cannot get out!

This is the addiction card. Look to where you are addicted to something. It can even be addicted to bad thinking.

October 6th, 2010 - Wednesday - The Hanged Man

This is a card I have not pulled very often, if at all. The Hanged Man. So this is the quick version of the Hanged Man (which makes me think of the Taken from The Black Company by Glen Cook): You are trapped in old beliefs and mental patterns that no longer serve you. It is time to let go as you are suffering.

Kind of a self imposed trapped by your mind kind of thing. Interesting to breath that in today and consider where am I trapped? What old beliefs?

October 5th, 2010 - Tuesday - The Empress

Now normally every morning I wake up and shuffle the Tarot deck three times, then cut into three piles with my left hand, and then spread the cards on the table, and pick one (with my left hand). This morning is different. Why? Because I had a dream last night that I picked this card this morning, so... I'm going with my intuition.

I saw a Peruvian Shaman last night, a man named Kucho. Jennie went as well. It was really awesome, and I will have to tell you more about it later. But as we were feeling out into the conversation with Kucho afterwards, one area Jennie had a hit on was 'mother' energy, a hole I had in my heart energetically that I needed to fill. Kucho told me this, but didn't tell me what it was.

So I keep pulling this Empress card, and I realize that on some level, as much as I am focused on masculine things, because my kids don't have a mother (she died 5 years ago) I think there is a part of me, a spiritual guiding, a intuition, that says I need to bring more mother energy to my children. Then...I dreamed I pulled this card again! How about that???

GRIN

I made the kids breakfast and sent them off with full stomachs and love. It was good.

October 4th, 2010 - Monday - The Aeon

The Aeon card means you have arrived, and is best remembered by the word Discernment. You have passed through the trials, and now see clearly and can now help others. I haven't gotten this card often in my life. Right now, as I prepare to meet Kucho, the Peruvian Shaman this afternoon, I am reminded of discernment, and coming to new ground.

For you, the gentle reader, I would suggest you look at places in your life where you are inflexible. What places do you resist change in? Relax into those areas today, and you will find some discernment.

October 3rd, 2010 - Sunday - Knight of Wands

Sunday was a real Knight of Wands kind of day. I'm an Aries, and this is my card, the masculine energy of fire. But the warning is to keep it contained, and directed, which I was able to do later in the afternoon, but not so much in the morning. That is why Tai Chi, breathing, and meditation, and Yoga are so important, to take all the energy I have and to circulate it, and use it for the correct things.

October 2nd, 2010 Saturday - Adjustment

Today I pulled the Adjustment card, which is like a legal agreement card. What this means for me is that I need to fulfill my agreement with Jennie to do Tai Chi.

October 1st, 2010 Friday - The Magus Entrepenuer

There are three Magus cards in the Tarot, and we use all three of them. This is The Entrepreneur card. Skills need to be learned in order to proceed!
