April 29th, 2014 - Tuesday - The Hanged Man -What a perfect card for self destruction.  Consider all the pieces of yourself that are layers of false egoic fear.  Now crucify those parts.  Yep.  Be ruthless. Kill them.  See them die.  It's bloody work, but imagine how much lighter your step will be without all that garbage!  Besides, the sheer anger that should well up within you when you see your fears and the venomous way they have held you back from you beautiful destiny should fuel your fire for destruction.

April 27th, 2014 - Sunday - Sorrow - I love the Sorrow card, not because I have any special affinity for sorrow, but because the card so clearly indicates that our MIND is creating sorrow in the world.  Any time I'm reminded that my mental views, opinions, and desires desires are obstructing my authentic self, I count that as a good thing.  Every time I see my ego create problems... I'm grateful.  SEEING is the key.  Today, you are blessed to SEE your mind screw you over.  And seeing is all you need to destroy the illusions.  Keep looking.  See the mind's games and they WILL disappear in a poof of smoke.

What are you gonna do when it just flows like this?  Take a moment, and drink it in.  Sit with it for a while, let it fill you up.  Then, when you are full, give it away to someone who least expects it.  Set your intent and desire to drip happiness on someone, then turn on the flow and let it go.  Then walk away and do not reflect on your gift.  It's given. It doesn't matter how it's received.

The deception lies within.  Take a good long look at those things held most dear... avoid paranoia, but keep your heart open to the truth.

April 17th, 2014 - Thursday - The Star - well well well... it has been a while...the cards went cold and the land grew dark.  But it all returns today with of all things, a star.  Aquarius brings us hope today.  Look up on a star and make a wish.  Practice feeling out, feeling the stars until the difference between you and star is gone.  There is not even a QUESTION of difference.  You are the star.  Dance AS the star.  Your authenticity is wide and deep, and has little to do with the clay pot you inhabit as a body.

Whoops.... right out of the gate this week and we are bumping up against conflicting energies. In a week of passion, we are at odds with an aspect of ourselves or someone/something around us. As we dive into passion, what is it we are fighting against? Is it our ego? Our mind? Our culture? Where are we dueling with the concept or reality of living a passionate life.

The Goose may give us some insight today. The Goose is a symbol of migration and journey. As we encounter the Dominion card, ask yourself what is keeping you from journeying into the deepest realms of passion. Seeing the obstacle is only part of the battle, but once you see it, burn it away with the searing heat that only true desire can manifest.

Well we are certainly setting ourselves up for a most interesting week. Last week's energy was one of free floating creative energy that could whimsically come and go as it pleased. This week we are getting down and dirty with our true passions. No more fairy dust, it is time to cut to the blood, sinew, and guts of heart pounding, earth-shaking passion. What can you do this week that will allow your passions to be unleashed in a very real and tangible way? Where are you holding back the full force of your deepest desires and yearnings?

The Moose, one of my personal favorites, is our animal guide this week. The Moose is a symbol of primal feminine energy which could not be more fitting in a week of passion. This week, tap into your most primal yearning and begin aligning your life so that it can be expressed fully.  Live this week like your body and soul are on fire. When you kiss someone, really kiss them. When you dance, lay yourself bare. When you speak, speak from your deepest soul. After all, if we aren't living each day like we are on fire, why are we even here?

It is a two card weekend, Ladies and Gents. The Hermit card and the Wealth card are ruling the roost as we finish up the week. Throughout this week we were tasked with engaging our creative side, our dreams and deepest yearnings, and to do so without any expectations or hooks. As we move into the weekend it is time to get quiet and feel the ripples and movement you created in your life this week. Energies have been shuttled around and there is more space for the next thing to come swooping in.

The Scarlet Macaw is a great example for the weekend. Scarlet Macaws are highly intelligent and perceptive birds. There is very little that can slip by them unnoticed. This weekend, you too, need to tune into the internal workings and mutterings that are going on inside your body and mind. As you do so you will find new abundance and perhaps discover that you have been delivered onto a new and more exciting playing field in life.

I cannot tell you how giddy I was when I got the Horse as today's animal guide. And yes....the Satiety card is pretty fabulous too. We have allowed the creative juices to sluice, flow, spill, and perhaps rage this week without any egoic restrictions. And what is the result? You have blown open a channel or two that will allow for long term movement in your life. Energy channels can be like arteries carrying life blood to the far reaches of our bodies. If we do not rigorously push our cardiovascular system, our arteries can become constricted. Similarly, if you do not work at opening energy channels, they too will become constricted and hardened.

As we blew open our creative energy channels this week we have allowed for more freedom and movement in our lives. And this is symbolized by the Horse. The Horse is the ultimate expression of freedom in movement, and not just any movement, powerful, unbridled, forward movement. Have you ever seen a horse at full speed? Not only is it pure beauty in motion but that freight train momentum is the Horse's natural-born right on this planet. Nothing is more tragic than a Horse that cannot be as powerful and magical as it's nature demands.

Today is the day for using that head of creative steam you have built up to blast through any barriers you may have around reaching your true potential. As you do this, however, remember to stay balanced in the areas of food, play, and rest. We cannot survive at 90 miles per hour all the time, but today is a day to go full throttle.

My, my, my.......something rotten this way comes. There is illusion, deception, or just a big fat lie in the space today. Maybe we are the ones being deceptive, or perhaps it is someone or something around us. Either way, make sure your senses are on high alert today and pay close attention to the goings on around you and inside you.

Since this week is ruled by the Star card this wayward energy may very well be connected to our creative flow. The image that pops in my head is of a new and beautiful painting. The painting is just right, but the painter cannot stop fiddling with it. Adding a touch of paint here, and a line there. Next thing the painter knows their work of art is venturing away from the pinnacle of perfection. Keep this in mind today, and do not muddle too much with your creative energies.

The Toad is our animal guide today. The Toad is a fascinating animal and has a multitude of stories and folklore associated with it. Some of that folklore has certainly muddied the truth around the Toad, but they are fantastic stories nonetheless. The Toad is a resourceful creature and has many unique survival skills. As you move through today, draw on your own resources to pinpoint where there may be deception in your space and then consider getting a little creative in eliminating it.

How can you communicate in the most artful and creative way today? How can you express your love to your partner so that new life and energy is pressed into your relationship? How can you show a loved one through a look or gesture that you honor and care for them? Today is a day to find creative ways of communicating with those around you. Breaking habitual communication and stretching into new and invigorating modes of expression can be exciting and terrifying all at once. My advice? Try it anyway, and do not tie too much meaning to the outcome. Even if the effect of your artful communication is not immediately apparent, there will be lovely ripples created underneath it all.

The Dove is a great help in the arena or artful communication. The song of the Dove leaves a deep and resounding impression in the listener. The sound can stir a deep grief, a haunting swell of emotion, or even a sense of settled beauty. As you commune with those around you today, do so with a melodic depth that will resonate with those who choose to listen.
