He represents the creative forces in ACTION! Skill and wisdom! This is often a call, when you see this card, to consider learning something new. On a daily basis it might just mean you need to learn a small little skill at work, and that you shouldn't avoid it. In a bigger life spread, it might mean some bigger skills and actions need to be learned. In the life spread, this is the place where you need to learn skills. As a fool, you jumped off the cliff to get things going. Now you need to learn some stuff. You are committed, but now gets some skills. That is a great way of looking at it.
