May 25th, 2011 - Wednesday - Failure

Well I was out of town for a while and I just go caught up on the cards! Today's card is Failure, which is the FEAR of Failure. That is very interesting to me, because this morning as I was writing in my journal I was talking about Memento Mori, which is the latin Phrase: REMEMBER DEATH . And that to wake up we really need to WAKE up and stop being afraid of death, live with death in our back pocket so to speak. And my fear isn't that I don't want to wake up, it is that I will fall asleep again. Ug. Just go back to the way things are.

Here is an amazing quote from Emerson:

“One of the illusions is that the present hour is not the critical, decisive hour. Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year. No man has learned anything rightly until he knows that every day is Doomsday.”
