The message today that may be useful is to realize that your mix is not done yet.  We saw this yesterday with the worry card.  We aren't there yet.  We got work to do.  And so be real about that.  That's the message, if you care to receive it.  Be real that your dream is grand, your spell is magnificent, your end picture is going to be universal in size, but get back to work on it.  There are many more ingredients that need to go into this pot!

January 29th, 2013 - Tuesday - Tower - Reversed.  Tough stuff today... possible crisis... things burning down.  Big or small, something is going to die today.  Reversed suggests we've been in resistance to allowing it to go down, and now the universe is just going to take it from us.  The degree to which we surrender and let the ego burn is the degree to which this day will be less painful.  But pain can be good as a fuel for discontent!!!

You might owe more money than you can pay.  Balance is coming, and the call is to let go and let it come.  Things will even out.  The winds are rocking this Friday, back and forth, and you'll be tossed, and if you surrender the winds will magically keep you upright.  Fight and you will lose your balance.  This will seem counter intuitive today.  You've asked the universe for what you need.  That statement was clear, and it was heard, and it was received   Today, the urge to think and pursue and set things in balance will be strong.  Resist that urge and just trust.  The universe heard you.  It received it.  You said it perfectly.  Now the winds blow and you let go and you will magically be held aloft and sailed into new and better waters.

January 16th, 2012 - Wednesday - Swiftness - We got three cards pulled today, so it was interesting to consider this . Yesterday I really dived into Futility.  It was a futile day.  It felt futile. It felt like I was useless. And I dutifully dived in.  Interesting to play opposites in this duelistic universe.  Instead of denying them you play them up.  I was futile MOFO yesterday.  It feels gone now and I pulled the Swiftness card, a communication business card.  Okay, I have a deal I need to close and I think I'll do that.  But the cards that came with it were the Queen of Cups, and the Queen of Wands.  Powerful Feminine energy, water water and water fire.  Lots of water with some fire means a lot of steam.  The feminine is powerful today, and it's a call and a warning, to be in that flow, but make sure you don't get burned.  Good general advice for someone doing business dealings, yes?  But how can this serve us deeper?  Always deeper.  Always wider.  Face it, doing business is just business... but there is depth and love in the world and somehow we can slingshot ourselves into a drop deeper.  Tease that out today.  Ease into something hot and watery and bring that to your business.

January 15th, 2012 - Tuesday - Futility - I asked an interesting question today as I pulled this card:  What do I need?  The answer:  Futility.  That is interesting.  We all have a little bastard in our head that tells us everything we do is futile and we are losers.  We spend a great deal of energy finding ways to nullify that little bastard.  Ignore him.  Drown him out.  But what if he's actually telling you the truth?  And I think he is.  In 100 years we'll all be dead.  The universe if 15-16 billion years old.  We ARE insignificant.  What we do does NOT matter.  Am I being depressing here?  Or just honest?  This isn't a rant of whining and bitching.  This is just the truth.  We are meaningless, our lives our meaningless.  Knowing that, what do we do with our lives?  See I think it's better to pass through the eye of futility, realize we are authentically meaningless and futile and useless, smile, and then move on and live our life fully.  Have you ever met those types of people who are so full of themselves that you want to retch? They are so convinced what they are doing is saving the planet, or helping people, and that it's SO important.  Well... it's not.  Nothing is important.  This is a duelistic universe and people are striving to achieve, and the enjoy the PURSUIT of spiritual aims, but have no deep desire to achieve them.  Else they would get up and leave the amusement park.  Out of here.  Why bother with the gerbil wheel?  Life IS futile. Be authentic. Know this.  Feel it.  Cry sad tears for your useless life, and then get up and do something as a gift to someone.  A gift that will be unappreciated and forgotten, and in the end meaningless... but a gift none the less.

January 14th, 2013 - Monday - Princess of Disks - Pregnancy and Birth!  Well we burned it all down over the weekend with the Tower, and out of that comes... birth.  Son of a gun!  New ideas!  New possibilities!  Even new CHILDREN! :)  This is a surrendered position... if you are at peace with the feminine within you.  You might not be... it's Monday   You might be back to your masculine job, and denying the flow of energy that is sprouting up from the earth after the burning yesterday.

It was a good, good day.  Now on to tomorrow, a new week... a new birth!

January 9th, 2012 - Wednesday - The Moon - This is such a fascinating card to me.  In the context of the Year of the Bear, the journey within... and yesterday's card, Queen of Cups.  I am not sure the Queen of Cups sifted through to me yesterday.  Perhaps it was for someone else, because I sincerely felt like I could never grasp it's energy.  This card suggests facing your fears...and you CAN ask for help today.  A lot of the Bear Dreamer year is a solo journey, but today a teacher may come along and help. Face the unstable parts of yourself.  That part that might have scared you might actually be useful...  Your hot temper could be a tool to get you somewhere. Your cool depression could be useful. There is a void out there, the nothingness behind the edges of the universe, and the Moon card is saying go that far.  You can face small fears, emotional fears, but the big fear is out there . It is the nothing ness and that is where the Moon is taking you.  This card is about moving forward without seeing the end.  That is funny, because of a conversation I had with a friend recently about having a clear picture in mind of what you want.  But the moon is saying move forward WITHOUT that clear picture.  Trust. Faith.  Everything is turning against you.  This is not the Fool card where you are being 'tempted' and 'called' joyously to jump. This is the Moon, the feminine is testing you by challenging your vision, your hope your faith.  Today, everything is working AGAINST you, but you are suppose to still move forward into that void.  This is your journey.  You alone here . Yes you can ask for help, but this is FOR you.  And you might look a little crazy going forward.  In fact, you WILL.  And everyone will look at you funny.  Everyone will think you are crazy.  And especially... everyone will think you are WRONG.  You aren't.  You know what you are doing.  Jump into the void.  That is my advice.

January 4th, 2012 - Friday - Aeon - For a card I don't get very often, this will be the second time in the last couple weeks.  On our journey within, what you finding? Year of the Bear suggests we go within for our answers, but the Aeon says to also learn to witness yourself.  This is the card saying step back, and see yourself from a distance.  This is called witnessing. Learning to see the character you are playing in the drama.  This is like that scene in the Matrix where Neo is being attacked at the very end by Agent Smith, but he's achieved this center of calm, he is relaxed, and just seems detached, and he's so flexible, he can dodge bullets, punches, anything anyone throws at him.  Today is a day of deep breathing, being very present, witnessing, and do some yoga.  Stretch your body and make it more flexible.  Your mind is already there, so follow through with your flesh.

January 3rd, 2012 - Thursday - Victory - I am curious how everyone did yesterday with that Reverse Change card.  Did you leap? Or are you going to be 'forced' by the universe to change in a more painful way?  My guess is you jumped full on into the change and accepted it... because you got the Victory card today!  You have broken through and achieved something and need to celebrate today.  Enjoy this day, this small step of success.  You are on the right path.

January 2nd, 2012 - Wednesday - Change - Good morning!  Second day of the year of the bear!  Our inward journey begins in earnest with this Charge card reversed.  My friend Suzanne Wagner says this about the card:  "This moment may not come again.  Make a decision and jump or you will miss the opportunity . If you resist change the old reality will be forced to shift in a more painful way."  I find that so interesting because coincidentally I've noticed the pattern of the universe saying the same thing.  Make a decision, go go go.  Even if you are wrong, go make a decision.  The question I have is does this card mean some event 'today' or does it reflect back on the year of the bear?  This is the time to look inward... things are changing... and you have to LET them change.  Go with it.  Big or small, if this is for your year or your day, you'll have to decide, but the story is clear.  Change is coming.  You either go with it, or the change will sweep you up and churl you around.  Looking forward through the year if we see a lot of cards like futility, oppression, ruin, and our good friend the Tower, we'll know we are resisting the change that the Inward  Journey is revealing.  If on the other hand we get cards like Satiety, Sun, Abundance, Love, then we'll know we are letting go, surrendering, and paddling with the current, instead of against it.  A little bit, or a lot of change is in the air.

January 1st, 2013 - Tuesday - The Magus - Bear Dreamer - What a curious card to start the year off with.  A whole new year... and some cards are more important than others.  This is one of those:  The Bear Cave... The Inner Journey of Psychic ability... The journey lies... WITHIN.  This is the year of YOU.  Your inner guidance is the key, not others guidance.  Subtlety, inspiration... depth and height... Forget the outer world this year... look inward.  This is the life long quest inward to the emptiness of no-self within.  There are mentors in the world who can come to help you... but these are distractions... honestly, the inner journey is the true journey.  This is YOUR quest and YOU have the answers.  No one else.  Journey INWARD.  Things are being prepared for you... Get ready and go within so you are ready when the universe manifests.  Have I said it enough?  Face your fears and inner darkness, and claim your own truth as your own.  Peel away the core layers of your soul to the emptiness within.
