March 11th, 2014 ~ Tuesday ~ Disappointment ~

Second stop on our week of Pleasure? Disappointment......... doesn't seem quite right, does it? Actually..... it couldn't be more perfect. Cultivating and running emotional energy will ultimately bring you right up against blocks and stuck areas. This week is about working with emotions in an intimate and personal way. It is a week of uncovering the triggers and avoidance we have around engaging in full and unabashed pleasure. As we work with pleasure we also work with those times in our life we felt betrayed by pleasure. Those moments when we loved fully and lost anyway. Allow the hurt and fear of disappointment move through your body but do not let it stop you. Feel it, honor it, love it, and let it go.

The Dove is a beautiful guide as we breath through the disappointment we are feeling today. The Dove is another ruler of the in-between times of dawn and dusk. This is a reminder that we too, can usher ourselves between worlds. We do not, and should not remain stagnant because we fear pain, sadness, or even pleasure.

The Dove has a haunting and mournful tone that echoes through the stillness of the in-between times. It is this sound that reminds us that there are aspects in our life that we need to release and mourn. We must grieve as we shed our old skin and peel out of our old shrouds. That dusty shroud served us well at one point in our life so honor it and let it fly.
