March 8th, 9th 2014 ~ Saturday - Sunday ~ Bear Dreamer

March 8th, 9th 2014 ~ Saturday - Sunday ~ Bear Dreamer ~

So..... this week we were tasked with tending our internal, and oh-so-fickle fires, and what card do we pull? The Bear Dreamer, of course. The Bear Dreamer is telling us that any internal fire worth stoking is one that will open us in new and divine ways. It is also one that will take solo effort and quiet focus. This intimate fire may be a single licking flame or a raging behemoth. Either way you are tasked with finding alone time to determine which fires need to gently flicker, which need to be fed until they are white-hot, which need to smolder, and which are best left to burn-out. As we dance with this fire we will begin to sharpen certain aspects of ourselves or even forge new aspects all together. Perhaps we will find new strength in a challenge, forgiveness in a relationship, raw vulnerability with a lover, unleashed passion, or even reach peace with a person or situation that has dogged us for some time.

The Fox is a magical creature to usher us through this fire. The fox is the ultimate shapeshifter. They have the body of a dog but the eyes and certain behaviors of a cat. They emerge from their dens at dawn and dusk indicating they are masters of the in-between. Fox reminds us that we do not need to make a definitive decision a this time, but must spend time in-between, dancing and navigating our emotional and energetic fires.

Fox is also the symbol of invisibility. Now is not the time to charm the pants off people, but a time to be camouflaged so that you can go within without interference. Do not give away your location or status. Work on being invisible this weekend and you may learn quite a bit about your own motivating fires as well as the fires that, for better or worse, motivate others.
